A new restaurant showcasing the evolution of Mexican cuisine, design and craftsmanship, from Chef Santiago Lastra and MJMK Restaurants.
Inspired by the traditional Mexican fonda—a family-owned Mexican eatery—the restaurant showcases regional Mexican classics with a focus on quality ingredients, creative preparation and modern techniques. The interiors depict the colours and cooking of the restaurants, markets and homes of Mexico, the design punctuated by vibrant hues of pink, orange, blue and green, creating a convivial, fun space for guests to enjoy.
Food
Focusing on quality produce, technique and innovation, the a la carte menu weaves together the disparate regional styles from across Mexico.
Central to the offering is the comal, a traditional clay griddle and the ‘beating heart’ of the restaurant producing beloved Mexican classics such as tacos and tostadas. Elegant dishes are served with fresh tortillas milled and made in-house daily, that sit alongside changing seasonal specials.
Drinks
Agave underpins the cocktail list with a dedicated Paloma section – five varieties including a Champagne Paloma which can be served by the bottle.
Micheladas are made with our own beer ‘Chela’ brewed in the UK, and classic cocktails are given a contemporary spin with British ingredients replicating Mexican flavours. The wine list features a playful selection of lesser-known regions and grapes, favouring smaller, quality-driven producers and lighter, intensely aromatic styles.
Desserts
Desserts focus on traditional dishes, reinterpreted with British ingredients.
From a freshly steamed, sweet Tamal with dates and butterscotch; to a Chocolate sorbet with chili oil made from the Pasilla Mixe variety, one of the rarest in the world.
